WHO SAID HAVING A KID MEANS YOU NEED TO HEAR CHILDREN'S MUSIC

OK, SO ONE OF THE THINGS I PROMISED MYSELF WHEN I GOT PREGNANT IS , I WILL NOT BE ONE OF THOSE MOM'S WHO ONLY PLAYS CHILDREN'S MUSIC AT HOME, IN THE CAR, ON HER IPOD, EVERYWHERE. ACTUALLY THIS PROMISE WAS KEPT FOR MY OWN SANITY AND THE PEOPLE WHO COME TO DINNER AND VISIT.

Maia actually loves dance music, classical and merengue. She moves those hips as you would expect form a Latin american girl. I am so happy about this, sorry but americans can't move their hips like latins do... so Maia is going to be teaching her freinds in college how the real dancing happens.

This video is a little snip of our life every night before Maia goes to bed. The cinderella dress is new and slowly getting used to it.

This princess thing is out of control, but that is another post that I'll share with you guys, when I tell you about this great book I'm reading called "Cinderella Ate my Daughter" really interesting stuff!

THE BEACH!

Hello, two weeks ago we went to the Hamptons with some friends. The girls had Cinderella and Rapunzel dresses,They ran the weekend as if it was a royal party!

REAL GUAGAMOLE, NO JOKE AND SOOOO EASY!

Ingredients

Two small avocado's ripe.

One juicy lime

one tablespoon of cilantro

salt and pepper

One tablespoon of onion cut up very small

Take all avocado out and place it in a large bowl, cut up some cilantro, and with a fork, (NOT A BLENDER OF ANY KIND) smash the avocado. Mix the lime with the dash of salt. smash well or to taste, with chunks of avocado or not. Serve!!!!!!! Its soooo good. Dont be afraid of lime, its what makes it sooo good!

OUR LAST TRIP TO MIAMI!

Hello readers! I wanted to show some pics from our trip to Miami! It was so much fun, Maia had her first sleepover at her friend Abby's house and we took her to Disney! She loved it!!!! We went to the beach, went fishing and just enjoyed life sooo much! Now we are back in the city and ready to roll in the New York City Summer!

MIAMI SHOOTS!!!!!!! JUNE 11-24 2011

THE CRIB-A-BOOK by Lara Alcantara Lansberg

Hello All!!!!! I am proud to say that I have ventured into this product full on! I have patented the "Crib-a-book". What is it you think????? Let me explain. In small talk: Maia's favorite thing in her bed. In technical terms a storage unit that fits cribs and transitions into big girl/boy bed usage. It has 4 pockets for storage.

Once your child starts sitting by himself/herself, the wake up in the early morning might be to early in the morning for you. Say, for example.... you want to get an extra bit of sleep so you can actually function as a mom without depending on coffee. This is for you! When I made this for Maia she was actually spending about 45 minutes to and hour just playing with all sorts of things I used to throw in there. Board books, toys to chew on, stuffed animals and even her sippy cup. No milk please, only water. You don't want your kiddies two teeth to fall out so soon! She used this until she was out of her crib and into her new big girl bed when she turned three. Now instead of tying the cute bows on the railing of her crib, I made three wholes especially for hammering into the wall by her bedside, accompanied by cute buttons for decor. She puts her night light in there( Spooka) close to her and her three favorite Junior tag books with the special reading pencil, and water just in case she feels like some water at night. Here are some pics for it. I make them myself and each one is unique. I am about to monogram Maia's.

They come in canvas and green stitching and green buttons, Canvas and pink stitching and pink buttons and canvas and blue stitching and blue buttons..

This one is Maia's.
