Maia is loving the LYCEE FRANCAIS de NEW YORK and learning a ton of things! Now after a year has gone by she is speaking french! Oui oui! Picking her up at school is a total delight. She is always so happy and full of energy! So while talking with her the other day we came up with a great idea. We are going to make a cooking book! Here is the first recipe that we have created together. Thinking about the kids that don't eat their veggies and that need a little push into being interested in having their veggies so they can grow strong and build muscle! The part that she doesn't know is that everything in this book is healthy and a little sneaky because of how many servings of vegetables and fruit there are in the recipes!

TATA'S CARNITAS
These patties are delicious, and can be made out of any kind of meat as long as it is shredded. Turkey, beef and chicken.
Ingredients
( For the kiddies that are picky about the colored veggies try without the kale and the Carrots, the rest of these disappear when cooked)
1 small bunch of Shredded Carrots
1 small bunch of Raw Kale
1 small bunch of Zucchini
1 small bunch of mushrooms
1 lb. of shredded meat. Any kind. Chicken, beef, lamb or turkey.
Salt
Olive oil
Preparation
Chop in very small pieces all of the veggies. In a bowl add the shredded meat, salt and the veggies. mix well until evenly distributed around the whole pound of meat. Make as many small balls of the mixture as possible. You can freeze some and keep them for a rainy day or a quick meal after work. Pat them down with your hands and make them look like tiny burgers. You can serve them up with slider buns and dress them up with whatever your child likes, or serve them up with some rice on the side.
Voila!
